Mobilizing a community through Ámate Ahora-Leticia Madrigal

Leticia creates a culture for leaders and inspires community health leadership by guiding families to come to terms with the state of their health through education. Motivating families to talk about their family health history, mobilizing communities and the workforce to talk, advocate, and exercise internationally.

Produces annual health expos in the United States and the Dominican Republic, leads health challenges and fitness programs. Principal Industrial/Organizational Psychologist at Madrigal Consulting, Psychologist Advocating for Our Health. CEO/Founder at Ámate Ahora in memory of her father’s untimely death due to heart disease and her mother’s second chance to live and manage her Diabetes. Shared her story as a TEDx Speaker called “From Tragedy to Power & Peace”.

National Campaigns.
Spokeswoman for WomenHeart, the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. Representing 43M women that live with or at risk of Heart Disease. Recently diagnosed 2014, “I’m Fighting and Winning Heart Disease”. Led National White Blouse Campaign for Heart Disease. Leading National Heart Disease Point of Sale Campaign including in 576 Burlington Stores in 47 States & Puerto Rico. 2016 Campaign included 26,000 of their associates standing for a Healthy Heart Workforce. Spokeswoman for Latinos Regalando Sonrisas, Seeks Donations for Christmas Gifts for Children in Need.

Awardee and Author.
Awards include: 2016 Sor Juan Women of Legacy: Women of Achievement Awarded by The National Museum of Mexican Art for Health and Community Activism. 2015 Finalist for Nueva Latina Estrella Award: Midwest Health Leadership. Co-Author on “Today’s Inspired Latina Vol. III” book published May 2017.

Member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the Chicago Health Executives Forum, CHEF is the largest thriving chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Proud Premier Professional Associate for the National Hispanic Medical Association in the Midwest Region. Leticia is also a contributor and supporter of  Latinas en New York | Latinas en Chicago community group.  Leticia is also nominated as a Leading Latina en Chicago for being an great contributor to the Latin community.
