I love a good facial. But a facial that leaves my skin feeling renewed, nourished, and with a healthy complexion is all a girl could want!
This is exactly what the Holistic Sulwhasoo Facial did for me.
I’ll admit, since hitting my mid-30s, I’ve noticed my skin feeling drier and more sensitive than ever. I’m always on the lookout for skincare lines that provide nourishment, anti-aging properties, and an overall balanced complexion. However, I’m also becoming more thoughtful about what products I put on my skin. Mainly, because so many ingredients and potentially harmful chemicals are within the products out on the market. Considering our skin is the largest organ of the body, I am taking extra special care of what I put on it since everything we put on our skin is absorbed into our bodies.
I learned that Sulwhasoo – one of the top skincare lines in Asia – uses natural ingredients native to Korea, with a key ingredient being Ginseng. With Sulwhasoo giving complimentary facials (if you purchase 1 item) at Bergdorf Goodman’s – I had to jump on this deal and see what Sulwhasoo was all about.
My facial was one of the best I’ve had, and here’s how my experience went down:
As soon as I walked into Bergdorf’s I waltzed over to the Sulwhasoo counter for my appointment. The lovely Elisa greeted me and explained the product line to me, which I admittedly wasn’t too familiar with previously.
After getting the low-down from Elisa, I walked back to the spa room where Emily, the Sulwhasoo esthetician, greeted me.
Within minutes, I was whisked away into complete relaxation. Emily worked her magic, to the point where I almost fell asleep. She used a series of cleansers, serums, creams, and there were a few fun surprises. One was the cool jade stones she used to massage my skin. It was so soothing! Halfwalk through the facial, I was pleasantly surprised with a shoulder and upper back massage; much needed after a long day on the computer and phone!
Toward the end of the facial, Emily used a really interesting gel mask on my skin and finished up with a pressure-point massage in all the important spots on my face.
When the facial was over, I felt refreshed, renewed, and excited to get my hands on some of these products. Emily showed me all the amazing products she used, and I left with a bag of goodies. I checked myself out in the mirror and was literally glowing!
If you’re looking for a refreshing, soothing, and skin-balancing facial – set up an appointment at Sulwhasoo at Bergdorf’s in Manhattan. The product line has an array of products for every skin type and spans several price points so you don’t feel like you’re breaking the bank if you pick up a few items you want to work into your regimen.
Two products I purchased (each in the $30 something range) are the Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam EX, which is a mild foam that effectively removes impurities while leaving my skin moisturized, and the Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Oil, which gently removes makeup and impurities with a refreshing texture. Sulwhasoo scores extra points for their delicious scents!
